OLIVIA

A year had gone by so fast. The twins turned one today, a smile forming on my face. It’s really been a bumpy ride.

Victoria was sentenced to eight years in prison, and Nate was sentenced to six years. It’s been a year today, making it five years left for Nate and seven for Victoria.

I had gone to see Nate twice during the past year. It was the least I could do after everything he had done for me. Even though he had ulterior motives, I knew he cared for me deeply. He was holding up well, and he gladly signed the divorce papers, apologizing for everything. I told him that would be the last time I’d see him again.

Ethan has been wonderful with Natalia and Jacobs. He’s such an amazing dad, especially a girl dad—she had his attention more than I did.

“What’s my beautiful wife thinking about so intensely?” Ethan said, disrupting my thoughts by placing a kiss on my cheek.

“Where are the kids?” I asked, noticing Natalia wasn’t latched onto his arm.
