Chapter 201. New Segment

Karl's place

"Finally he is free from the curse," Karl said as he looked at the sky with a smile.

"It's the real end to his immortal life." He added as Alina sat there in front of him.

"That's a relief," Alina said with a smile.

"What will happen to me?" Alina asked but she was not sure yet. 

It's been a whole month since that incident happened. Her existence was granted only to protect Angel. Now that it's finished, Alina is not sure what she is supposed to do.

"Can't you tell?" Karl asked as he eyed her hand. Alina looked at her hand and realized that she could feel no power in them. Of course, how can she not notice this? She always saved Angel with the limited powers she was granted. Now it's all gone. 

"Does it mean, I am also free to live my life?" Alina asked with tears in her eyes. Karl just smiled in response. 

Alina left the place with so much happiness. What else could she pray for?
