Chapter 60

Brissago, one afternoon in June.

I was pacing around the room, waiting for Gio, while the open window allowed the guests’ voices to be heard. Damn it! Not just my hands, but my back was sweating like crazy. I was nervous as hell! If there were beers in this room, I’d have finished them all. I kept staring at my reflection in the mirror, unable to believe it was me. I didn’t look like the usual Glenn Anantara because of this suit, shirt, and tie. One of the reasons I had never liked wearing formal wear was I never looked good. I couldn’t imagine standing beside Levi, who must have looked stunning in the formal wear. I took a deep breath as I walked to the window. I saw the guests had started taking their seats. Luisa, Mama, and Papa were chatting while Robert was carrying Brian, who couldn’t sit still and seemed amused by whatever my in-laws were saying. I couldn’t see Kathy; she was probably with Gio.
