Chapter 83
Susan's blood pressure skyrocketed. Steam practically billowed out of her ears as she stomped on the gas pedal, sending the Dodge rocketing forward, leaving a trail of burnt rubber behind it.
Alan poked his head through the small window at the back and quipped, "Hey, was it something I said?"
In unison, Susan, Jemma, and Patricia shot back, "Go screw yourself, Alan."
Alan chuckled, "You girls should talk to my wife before you say something like that. I've got the equipment to handle it."
Jemma and Patricia glanced at Susan, who turned beet red from head to neck.
"Don't look at me, I'm driving," Susan muttered.
"Congrats, Susan, looks like you've got a winner," Alan said.
"I'm not sure about him, but his ego sure is," Susan retorted.
As the GPS chimed in, "S.R.179, 1 mile."
