Chapter 49
There were hundreds of ants crawling on my right arm.
I could feel them all as they mercilessly rose and fell; some even came to bite my skin. Then it became too difficult to continue sleeping and I had to open my eyes.
The first thing I noticed was that my face was buried against a soft mattress, buried between light blue sheets.
The second thing I noticed was that the famous ants that I felt during my sleep were small cramps that pierced my arm since I had fallen asleep on it. My whole body ached, especially my belly and my intimate area.
My leg and arm muscles ached as well, it was like I'd been doing a mini-marathon workout all day.
I stretched a little on the bed, causing the sheet to wrinkle and stick against my thigh, that's when I noticed the big red stain on it.
I sat upright in my place, suddenly remembering everything that had happened in the past hours.
