As soon as I drank the blood I could hear Soren's heart beating, not only that, but I could see the vein pulsing in his neck and a strange sensation passed through my mouth, my gums were itching and I shuddered. I took several deep breaths to control myself, but finally, I stopped listening to his heart.

As soon as we leave, Victor and Ishtar are outside.

"I have some things to sort out, my love," Soren said and kissed me on the forehead.

I nodded in agreement, and then he turned away and headed down a corridor to the elevator.

"I've prepared one of the offices for us to do this," Victor explained. I nodded.

"Your aura is stronger," Ishtar said. "Are you drinking Soren's blood?"

I nodded, after all, there's no reason to hide something like that.

"I see." Ishtar was quiet for a few seconds. "But I wanted to ask you to stop."
