Chapter 98. Training

Ayla POV

I followed Skyler to the cafeteria where she usually has lunch. I didn't have the same feeling as before and I didn't ask about it, but lunch was very calm and Skyler explained more about the ranks in the army and the royal guard.

Then we went back to the restricted area and as soon as we got out of the elevator, Skyler looked at me worriedly, but just as she opened her mouth to say something, I heard Victor's voice.

"Ayla!" I turned my head to see Victor appearing in the corridor. He's wearing a more practical outfit. "You can go, Skyler, I'll take over from here."

Skyler bowed and then went back to the elevator. I raised my left eyebrow.

"What was that?" I asked, walking towards him.

"Skyler was going to say something she couldn't, which I forbade," Victor replied calmly.

I took a deep breath, I don't like this.

"Soren will explain it better later," Victor added.

I just nodded. Victor stopped in front of his room.
