Chapter 32. Giving Him a Yes

I woke up crying in pain, I was sobbing. Alex woke up immediately and gave me water and the pain meds, I take it and tried to get back to sleep but I couldn't.

"I'm hungry baby, I need dinner, being shot is making me hungry." He chuckled and told me to stay put. But I was bored so I went with him to the kitchen. It was already late, we were at his parent's, and I assumed everyone had gone to sleep already.

We were munching on the leftover. I was sighing in delights, the food was delicious. But Alex kept on lecturing me about taking the bullet. "Alex baby, seriously. I never intended to take the bullet. I was still amazed that it didn't trigger my traumatic disorder. But lately, when I'm with you I felt different, I think I'm also off of my cigarettes." I shrugged as he kept on stroking my hair lovingly.

"You are mine Addie, I will protect you. Not the other way around. But I believe you, just don't ever scare me like that again. I can't imagine losing you, Princess
