Chapter 45. Making a Promise

"She has been having nightmares, Yegor, she needs you."

Margot was reporting to Yegor when he called. She checks in with him every day but he kept on stalling to go to her.

"Karla is a strong woman, I'll be there as soon as I can." He retorted wanting nothing more than to take her back to his mansion.

The older woman has been talking to him about Karla, how she kept on having nightmares about her ex-husband who's still in prison. Yegor had called Luka and he confirmed the nightmares, telling him that if he could sneak into the prison and kill the bastard he would do exactly that.

"She's getting thinner, she's pregnant Yegor. She's too stressed out...it's for the baby."

"Right, just hang on a couple of more days. I'm finishing up everything here then I'll come and get her. I'll carry her out of the apartment if I have to."
