Chapter 11. The Why
"Ian... I was going to the kitchen for some water. What time is it? ...did you just get back?" she was tilting her head to face him. His expression was unreadable, but there was wary, and a look of pity that she had recognized all too well.
"I'll get it, and I'll bring your dinner here. It's almost seven, I was back since six. Rose said you've been sleeping the whole afternoon."
"Okay."
"Blair..."
Backing away from him, she was sitting and resting her back on the headboard. Her fingers were fiddling with the end of her t-shirt, trying to get her mind off of him.
But he was not letting her be alone with her thoughts, as he put her strands of hair to the back of her ear and lower himself to peck her cheek.
"Whatever you're thinking, stop it. I'll be right back. Then we can talk it out."
