Chapter 12. The Helper

"Shani?" I asked when she didn't realize that I was behind her.

 

"Eh...yeah, Arkael...this is Lionel. He's been helping me around the cottage. Big old tree and an incoming storm are never a good combination." She smiled at me, while Lionel comes and shake my hand firmly.

Then I smiled back at him with a smirk, while wrapping my arm around her shoulder and pull her closer, and kissed her cheek.

I was marking my territory, I didn't want other men near my woman. Again, this feeling of possessiveness was new to me. I never care if Muriel or Sabina laid with other beings than me. But Shani is a different one, just watching her smile to another man made me want to hide her in my cave.
