Chapter 35. Ever After

"Arkael, I'm not feeling so good." She snuggled in closer to me.

It had been a week since her last encounter with the demon crawler and she was still recuperating too slow. Her wounds were gone, not even a scar to remind her of but she was still sleepy all the time, and she started vomiting since early this morning.

"Let me get Maven for you okay? Do you want Sabina or maybe Rain?"

"You...I want you, just...oh god..." then I gave her the bowl to throw up. Sabina was by her side moments later, giving her a drink to take away the foul taste in her mouth.

"My king, Maven would like to speak to you if you have the time. Let me ease her nausea...may I?" she looked at me then at Shani.

She nodded then smile at me when her nausea was taken away by the simple touch of Sabina's hand.

"I'm good love, go...Sabina will keep me company while we gossip about Savaric and Basilea." She said while telling Sabina to sit by her side.
