Chapter 21. The Sickness

"Do you remember my dream? Where I thought you died, and how I was afraid of losing you. I guess my coward self was factoring in greatly on my decision..."

"Rain..."

"Look we... I need to say it."

He paused, and let me continue.

"I was so worried about you, of how you were gone into war. I was afraid that it was the same battle, it was silly...I know you checked with Maven. I know you said that he could see stuff. But for those two whole days, I couldn't think. And I had nothing to occupy myself with..."

"I know it's too much of me to ask, but come back with me?"

"But I'd just worry about you again, and you have your kingdom to run."

He was pulling me into his arms, my back touched his naked chest. We were still laying naked in my bed. We got back to my place yesterday morning, and have been staying here since then.

"I'm sorry I've gone too far. Of course. I'll do anything you want."

I turned to face him, he looke
