"She did what?" I ask in a sharp tone, staring at my mom with wide eyes.

"You heard me right, sweetie. Your stupid sister had the effrontery to visit Martin's dad, and she even had the audacity to threaten him like the fool she is," Mom repeated herself, and honestly, I'm surprised.

I never would have imagined that Ella would be stupid enough to walk into the lion's den and even go as far as threatening the lion. Even I would not do something so foolish.
