Iskander stepped back into the living room, a sleek black folder clutched tightly in his hands. His eyes swept across the room, taking in the worried expressions of Uncle and Aunt.
"I've got it," he said, his voice low and urgent. "The file from the car.’
I soon walked into the room to join them as I left the Babysitter with Austin.
Uncle took the folder, his gaze flicking between me and Iskander. "Sit down, both of you," he said, gesturing to the couch. "We need to talk."
