“I tried calling you all night, you did not pick up," she replied, her eyes 

narrowing. 

“You called?” I took out my cellphone to see fifteen missed calls from her, 

“But why? Did you forget anything?

She looked at me about to head upstairs, 

“Where's my son? I want to make sure that he is fine.” She was panicking which seemed a bit weird. I mean, I was his father and I wouldn't even in my next life, think of killing him.

Did she think so low of me, that I could put my son in harm's way or not take care of him?

I let out a frustrated sigh, grabbing her by the arms,

“What do you think you're doing? Austin's just a kid and waking him up isn't the best option now.” I tried to say, she turned swiftly to me, throwing me a death glare.
