Chase had purposefully waited quietly in his own room, believing that Ellen would not dare to flee if she brought up the woman's family situation. If the woman had agreed, Chase's threat would not have been carried out.
To be honest, Chase had no idea why he was so certain he chose Ellen as his sex partner. Apart from Sheena, Chase had hardly any other women in his bed during the year.
