Chapter 126
Collin grumbled as he pursued her. “Wait, Jenny!” He called, but she did not hear him, and he was forced to chase her down. He caught up with Jenny just as she was about to lock her bedroom door. “Let’s have a conversation first,” he implored her.
“Not at the moment, Collin. I require some alone time,” she stated, refusing to speak with him until she was prepared to listen to any explanation he would offer.
Jenny’s eyes glowed with fear, and the word disappointment etched across her face. “You’re in good hands with me, Jenny.” Collin hoped that his words would dispel her fear.
She laid on her bed while Collin continued to bang on the door. However, she was unconvinced at the time. She reasoned that if she ignored him, he would flee, but he persisted. Jenny was compelled to get from her bed and open the door. “Collin, let’s discuss later, not now. If it’s all right with you, I’d want to take a break.” She stated politely, but she was on the verge of losing her anger
