Chapter 16. Bombshell

As Tyler put his hand on her waist, he could feel the tension all over her body.

So he pulled her closer to support her weight and balance in case she collapsed from too much shock.

The old man paid too much attention to Tyler’s hand and where it settled. He gave him a meaningful look feeling satisfied and curious at the same time.

“Old man, meet my wife, Chloe Myers Schneider,” he dropped the bomb as if it was just a casual introduction.

Chloe’s eyes widened, but words wouldn’t come out of her mouth. She didn’t want to make a mistake in front of the chairman. So her hand sent him a signal instead. Her hand reached for his shirt in the middle of his chest and clenched it.

Tyler felt the pressure from her fingertips as she clenched not only the fabric but even his skin. His eyes got teary, so he claimed her hand, removed it, and held it tighter, squeezing it.
