Jessica nodded and went to stand behind Dawson’s chair. She turned in that direction. To be honest with herself, she was greatly uninterested in being in her aunt’s presence. She had had enough of her for a week, and she had spent just a day. Jessica could not deny that Olivia was very exhausting to deal with.

“I guess I'd better go to my room,” Genevieve said as she awkwardly left the room.

“Let’s have a conversation,” Xavier said, leading her to the living room. “Please sit,” he said, gesturing to the couch as he sat too.
