Diana didn’t understand what Bianca meant, but when she checked the time, her heart skipped a beat.

“Reese, stay here,” Diana said gently. “Bianca and I will take care of the press conference.”

Reese looked heartbroken. Her eyes were full of tears, ready to fall.

She grabbed Diana’s sleeve and begged, “No, it’s not true. I’m not like that!”

“I know,” Diana said gently, patting her hand. “We’ll fix this issue. We’ll prove you didn’t do anything wrong. Just trust us, okay?”

Reese didn’t know what to believe anymore. Even the teacher she admired had turned her back on her. She felt like there was nothing left.

Her body shook. At that moment, she wished she could run far away, maybe even disappear.
