Chapter 35

The red and white candles lit up the darkness of the room, slowly creating a mixture of light and dark on the walls that gave away the romantic vibe. Her heart pumped faster in her chest as his fingers came in contact with the skin on her arms, sending a shiver down her spine. 

She stared at him, her hair covering half of her face as his fingers pushed the strap of her red night dress down her arm. “Gaetano,” she whispered, but he didn’t bother looking at her face.

“Hmm,” he replied, his hands moving up back to the skin of her neck, enticing light sensations within her. 

She grabbed his face in her small arms, making him turn to look directly into her eyes. 

His blue eyes came in contact with her silver ones that were almost covered by her wild hair.

“What is all this about?” she asked, and he looked around at the candles placed on the tables in the room and then at her face.

“It
