Rachel's POV

I blinked twice, sitting upright.

"It's today?" I asked, and Marina nodded; at least, it felt like she did. Despite the fact that we were on the phone I felt like I could see her.

I had totally forgotten.

She did mention something about meeting her parents again after Mark and Ethan said something to them.

Talking of parents, I had dinner with mine later this evening.

" So how is it going? " I asked at first, but judging from Marina's expression, it was not going well. Or had she not even seen them?

" Have you and your parents talked? Or seen each other?" I asked cautiously, staring straight at my phone to catch even the slightest change of expression on Marina's face.

" You haven't seen them have you?" I asked again since Marina's silence already answered the first question for me.

Marina nodded biting down on her lower lips. " Maybe if they had come out to welcome me, I wouldn't be having second thoughts right now
