Rachel's POV

The fact that Ethan kept such a big thing away from me made my heart tighten and I felt it hard to breathe.

What was so even expecting? That because he said he loves me he would tell me everything?

As Hannah has said, it was a family matter, so it probably didn't concern me. Who was I to him anyway?

Though we both had confessed our feelings to one another, we were yet to make anything official. I was not his girlfriend, so he owed me nothing.

"Rachel... Rachel ". Ethan practically ran into the house and towards me, immediately holding my shoulder with his big hands as soon as he was close enough, checking my body for any bruises.

" Are you alright? What happened?" He asked immediately.

" Your sister " I pushed his hands off me before looking at Hannah with pursed lips. " It's her son who got kidnapped. You should be comforting and be worried about her, not me ". I said curtly before walking back towards my untouched drink.
