Daniel’s POV

My office was quiet, the Miami city lights shining outside, but my mind was a total mess. I sat at my desk, staring at the scary photo Sienna found under her door. It was a blurry newspaper picture of us kissing, with “Leave him” written on it in red.

My stomach twisted. I felt angry and guilty for dragging her into this mess. I wanted to be the guy who kept her safe, who made her feel secure, but someone was trying to scare her, and I had no idea who. My heart ached for her. I still remembered how warm she felt last night; her soft sounds, her body shaking—but her fear was stronger, and it was tearing me apart. Could I protect her, or was I the one putting her in danger?
