Chapter 67
Chloe sat on the edge of the bed with her eyebrows knitted together. Chloe had been doing that in her room for almost thirty minutes. She looked at her two friends--Jessica and Cassandra--alternately with a flat look before finally crossing her arms over her chest and letting out a long sigh. She sounded tired and upset at the same time.
Jessica sat on the other bed, while Cassandra was right next to her. They were silent for a while until Jessica finally had the courage to clear her throat and look Chloe straight in the face. Jessica then opened her voice first instead of waiting.
"Chloe, what exactly is your plan?" Jessica asked in a low, cautious tone of voice. "We've been waiting all this time and you're still as still as a statue."
