Kael looked stunned, Seraphina looked like she wanted the ground to open up and swallow her, Claude looked like he was having the time of his life, Silas and Lucien just stared coldly at the scene, and Abraham stood beside me without a word, his face blank, though I caught the nervous swallow as he lowered his head as if he didn’t want to watch.
