I caught her scent before I saw her.

It didn’t matter how faint it was, how much she tried to mask it, my wolf picked up on it instantly. Delilah.

The woman that has now become more of a headache than I wanted her to be. The woman who got my mate, MY woman, more insecure than she should be. The woman who has been playing a game that I still did not understand, and yet, I knew that she was going to need to get out of my sight.

The halls were quiet, most of the pack going about their duties, and yet there she was, strutting like she belonged here. Head high.
