“Do what is necessary for my daughter. Even if it means taking her by force.” I said, looking at the pack nurses who nodded.

The tension in my chest was not one that I could easily just ignore. I could still hear Sienna’s voice, sharp and then wavering, ringing in my ears.

And me?

The question had been quiet, but it was laced with something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. A challenge. A plea. A wound that had yet to heal. And I knew that she was going to do what it was that she could do to try and defend Isla. However, if it meant that she was going to take her from me, then I would rather I killed her before that happened.

I clenched my jaw, pushing the thought aside. It didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered was the child. My daughter. Our daughter. She should not have her as a mother in the first place, however, considering that she was the one who carried her, I was going to allow her to call herself a mother. But, I also knew t
