Chapter 104. Something Ain't Right

Bethany’s POV

I can’t believe that Graciela’s mom is dead, I just can't believe it. She was such a good woman, she doesn’t deserve this, she doesn’t deserve it at all. She had welcomed me into her home with love and tenderness, she never made me feel I was welcomed in her home because she always treated me like one of her daughters. I can’t believe that she had paid for Graciela’s mistakes, she is innocent in all of this, she never even knew about Graciela’s addiction, she was always trying to get us to save up enough money so we can quit stripping in the club, she always did her best to take care of us, looking out for us all the time.

Now she is dead, just like that, and it's all Graciela's fault. Yeah, I know that is an awful thing to say, but it’s the truth okay. It is her fault, hers alone. If only she had stopped using when I told her to, if only she had agreed to let me commit her to a rehabilitation center. She had brought this trouble on herself and her family.
