Gavin's POV

It's mom who has always called to check on me after I left the estate to live with Mia on my own. 

As the timer pops up, I make a gesture with my hand to Linux to go continue what he was doing. "Hello Dad, good morning," I say in a polite voice, trying to fake that good son which I never was but my heart is beating in eagerness to hear what he has to say. If it's something good, I don't want any bad attitude of mine to let it pass me by. 

"Son, morning. How are you and your mate doing?" He asks in a deep hoarse voice, which seems to have some embodiment of sarcasm, I even detect a smirk even though I'm not with him. Upon hearing my mate, my heart skipped, if it was my wife, I would not worry because I know he supports Emma. Implying Mia makes me think I've landed in trouble, from here I think if he and the pack elders have scheduled another date for the meeting on where my Luna would be, worst still as if it was some other thing I didn't know of but
