Chapter 86. Waiting
Mae’s POV
Leo begins to sway on his feet. Beads of sweat are forming on his forehead, and his skin pales quickly. He is going to pass out.
He presses his hands against the bed, trying to balance himself. He is mumbling something under his breath that I cannot understand.
“You need to sit down,” I yell from the floor, but neither Leo nor Raven are paying attention to me. Their eyes are glued to Oliver.
The steady beeping of his life-saving machines becomes erratic. Hopping to my feet, I quickly rush around the room, checking the machines. His heart rate is abnormally high, but I don’t know what a normal heartbeat for a werewolf is.
I try to squeeze around Leo to get closer to Oliver, but he is refusing to move. “You need to sit down,” I snap at him.
“I’m fine,” he replies, but his words are slurred.
I roll my eyes at him and pull a chair to the edge of the bed. I place my hands on Leo’s shoulders and force him into the chair. He growls
