Chapter 85. Wesley
Kieran’s POV
I jump over the bar and head straight for Wesley. I don’t bother glancing behind me. I know these rogues are no match for my fathers. They have taken on far more with much less at stake.
Wesley’s bravery fades from his face, and he turns to run through the door that leads to the bar’s backroom. He pushes the door open and races through. I pause. I don’t know what is waiting for me on the other side of that door. It could be just Wesley, or it could be a whole shit show I am not prepared for. I do know one thing, and that is I cannot let him get away.
I turn to see my fathers wolves covered in blood on top of a pile of dead rogues. There are only five bodies. The rest must have run, but they aren’t the target.
Quickly, I grab the shotgun off the bar and check the breech, it is loaded, but that only gives me one shot. “Here goes nothing,” I say to no one in particular, but I hear my fathers wolves jumping on the bar behind me.
