Killian POV

I cleaned the cut that was on my fingers and shook my head as I recalled what happened.

The fact that I found the man waiting for us was something that annoyed me. 

It only showed me that he wanted me to find him. The Bernardis were playing a dangerous game, and that was something that they all knew, but the consequence that would follow what they were doing was going to be lethal. And their assassin’s head being sent to them in a box, when they initially expected it to be mine, would be direct proof of it.

However, for now, that was the last thing that I was concerned about.
