ELEANOR

I watched in silence as the moon rose to the sky.

It has been days since the wedding announcement, and though nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, the night seemed a lot calmer than it normally would be.

My heartbeat was calm, and the house was quiet, and though I knew that the night was young, I was thankful for the peace that I was currently having.

The bedroom door opened, and I knew that it was when my ‘peace’ would be ending as I caught his scent the second the door opened.

Elton walked inside, the man never bothered to knock on the door; I didn’t have any reason to be surprised about it now.

I turned to face him, and watched as his eyes met mine as he approached me. His body towered over my own, and for one second, I couldn’t help but find myself remembering the man that I was gawking over when I first met him.
