“What was that?” Vladimir asked, looking at me. The smell of blood filled my nostrils and I frowned when I heard Natasha’s voice as she called for help.

“Natasha…” the two of us got up from our chairs and ran out of the office, following her voice. My heart raced as the smell of her blood grew thicker, and the fact that she wasn’t even moving to approach us was something that worried me.

I opened her bedroom door, frowning when I saw her laying in a pool of blood with her hand on her stomach. “Killian, please help my baby.”

“Nat?” I whispered, running toward her. I wrapped my arms around her, lifting her in my arms as Vladimir froze for a second.

“I am going to call the paramedics…”

“It was Nikolai.” She said, stopping Vladimir who froze. The two of us looked at one another then at her as if she grew a second head and she sniffed as she tried stopping her tears. “He is the traitor among us. I don’t know if he is still here, but…”
