Chapter 9. Plans of Doom

Asrian’s POV

“Drink and make merry!” I announced bringing my mug filled with fresh booze up in the air and downing the content followed by chants of victory and drums for my entertainment.

My huge biceps with a band around my right arm for eyes to see my victory of war.

The court meeting yesterday went according to plans and that egoistic king had no idea he had played into my plans and his fall wasn’t far before it envelops him.

A few weeks from now I’ll be King of Arni ruling over the highlands and lowlands and over the fairies, vampires, and witches if there’s any left after my father made sure of wiping them from the face of the earth.

“Asrian!”

“Asrian!”

The rogues hailed and lifted their mugs into the air, celebrating, drinking, and eating on our much-awaited victory.

I sat at my throne made of poor metal and scraps at the rundown burnt harbor as my gaze traveled around the environment I’ve been banished to for ye
