“Then save your life for me, us, and the pack.”

“No. McKaye is capable of questioning a prisoner. We go home, and you will rest.”

I wanted to resist, but he looked at me like he wanted to swallow me whole. I agreed instead, “Okay, but I’d like to have a word with Zarah.”

“Fine. I’ll talk to McKaye and Kaleb. Meet me at the parking area.”

I nodded. Knight kissed my lips before he left the infirmary.

Zarah came in before I could call her. “How are you feeling?”
