I wanted to strangle my cousin. She did all this, made me suffer for a few hours without seeing my mate, and my fucking wolf was agitated. I had to go out for a run for half an hour and came back to take a shower.

I knew I would see Nirvana tonight at our celebration, and I was excited to tell my pack and the people close to me that I was lucky to have the most amazing mate.

My pack members started to arrive at the pack house, which was elegantly decorated with black and golden accents— a chandelier hung low on the ceiling, candelabras and fresh flower arrangements were on the tables, classical music played in the background, and a red carpet was spread on the stairs.

“Well, look at you. You clean up pretty well. I’m glad you decided to trim your beard.” Kailin grinned at me, and she wore a beautiful white dress tonight.

“You look fantastic, Kailin.”

“Wait until you see Vana.” She patted my back. “Nice party. I’m happy for you.”
