Chapter 123

“ Click, click, click” Was the only sound coming from her heels, filling up the eerie quiet lair as she descended down the old stairs, her hands tracing lightly across the hard railing which was made up of stone, just like the stairs itself.

The hood from her cloak covered her face completely, making it hard for anyone to see what laid beneath it. Coupled with the darkness, she was almost invisible except for the constant clicking sound of her heels and stone on one of her fingers which shone in it’s dim greenlight color. The whole place was barely lit, making it hard for anyone to see more than a step before one’s self — but not for her.

She could see just fine.

Nothing apart from the sound of her heels against the cold ground could be heard for what seemed like forever till she finally stopped, arriving at the foot of the stairs. She had no problem navigating her way in the darkness and walked some more before she stopped again, right in front of a stone wall.
