Chapter 229

The atmosphere in the office room was gloomy as a man entered carrying a report. Despite the sun not being completely gone from the sky, and just like it did for the past weeks, the spacious office room looked somewhat dark and desolate.

“ Alpha?” The man called out into the darkness. His eyes caught the figure of a man seated in the office chair which swirled left and right every now and then as he approached.

“ Tell me.” A voice demanded. The voice was deep and low, enough to send chills down anyone’s spine. “ Any news?” He asked unenthusiastically as if knowing the answer.

The Gamma shook his head at the question. “ Nothing yet Alpha. We’ve been searching for so long now yet there’s no news about the Luna.”

Lucious’ fists tightened. He knew what the answer would be yet he still dared to ask. His lovely mate had disappeared ever since that day yet all efforts to find her seem abortive. Days had turned into weeks of searching yet nothing has been found.
