Chapter 248

“ I’m afraid you’re mistaken Katie, I’ll never accept something so outrageous! You very well know I have a mate already. I have a family of my own so how do you expect me to just… No, this is.. this is pure madness!” Haven shook her head “ I’ll never accept it!” Her voice was filled with determination.

“ Shh—” Katie tried to shush her “ Lower your voice, Haven. Don’t make a scene here Haven. Someone might here and we’ll be in big trouble”

“ I don’t care! I'm not afraid of anyone!” She yelled again shaking off Katie’s hand which held onto her again. “ Let go of me! I really don’t care—”

“ Is there a problem here ladies?” A deep voice asked behind Haven, startling both ladies. Haven and Katie were so engrossed in their conversation that they failed to notice someone walking up to them. They turned around to see a Shadow Guard standing with his hands in his pocket.

The Guard had been on patrol and was passing by when he happened to hear some yelling coming from
