Chapter 268

Lucious knelt there, holding his breath as he waited for her response. The silence stretched on, an eternity of uncertainty, until finally, Haven responded.

“Okay,” She said, her voice laced with a mixture of hope and fear “i’ll stay, I won’t leave”

Her reply made Lucious release the breath he’s been holding. Relief washed over him immediately and he nodded, getting back to his feet. He made to hug her but she stopped him.

“I’ll stay, but that doesn’t mean I’m prepared to be with you or I’ll be here forever. I need time, time to think about everything again. And I.. I have to be with Axel too. So I’ll remain here for the meantime till I arrive at my decision”
