Chapter 19

We run hand in hand out the front of the pack house. Five men are chasing us. They shift into their wolf form.

“No matter what you are about to see, Sally, you keep running, okay,” I tell her.

“Umm… Okay,” She says, running by my side.

“They are after me, Sally. So I’m going to run in a different direction so you can get away,” I tell her.

“But what about you? I don’t want them to get you either!” She cries.

“Don’t worry about me, Sally, just keep running, okay?”

I lift my dress over my head, toss it aside, and shift into my wolf. Sally screams at the sight of me shifting, and thankfully, it makes her run even faster through the field. The wolves follow me through the field away from Sally. I duck under low branches and leap over rocks until I collide with something hard. I whimper from the impact and see Alpha Tate snarling at me in his wolf form. He grabs my throat again until I shift back into human form and black out again.
