“So, what do you want, Danielle? What’s your decision?” I asked as the girl–Danielle–wiped the tears off her face with the rear of her palm.

Xerxes sat on the chair behind his table and Augustus stood on the door with his arms crossed across his chest, his eyes not leaving me and I could feel Xerxes glaring daggers at him. Avi was on the other corner, and Damien sat next to his sister, grabbing her palms in his as he consoled her.

It was better to discuss the problem in private than create havoc in front of the wolves. Since it involved Damien’s sister and Augustus’s beta, both Alphas need to make the decision.
