Lucianna’s POV
I was watching Ashira by the garden with folded arms on my chest and a swelling feeling on my heart. My friend would rather be with the birds and listen to them sing than have Aiden by his side. It’s sad, really.
There is no way I could relate with how this all works. Ashira forgetting her own mate, Aiden’s pain, the unborn child that has no clue with what is happening in the world. If I’m in their shoes… nah, I can’t relate. I sighed.
Footsteps coming from behind straighten my back. It’s Aiden, and I felt him stopped behind me. He’s probably looking at Ashira now, too. Gawking at his mate like how he’s doing for the past days.
“She’s going to be gone for a while, is she?” I said in a whisper.
The silence is deafening and Aiden’s aura has been so sad that my eyes started to form tears. I sniffed.
“She won’t.” Aiden answered gruffly. “Not to me.” then he walked forward and stopped beside me. The rays of the sun glowed his gold
