Olivia's POV

My heart began to beat rapidly. I searched his face for signs that he might be angry with me, but I didn't see any.

He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.

"I was planning to tell you about the outcome of the meeting with the council."

I took a deep breath. I already knew that the council didn't approve of me. It was easy to imagine their bad news; I doubted they had anything nice to say to me.

"Well, what did they say about me?"

I braced myself for the worst and listened to André speak.

"They said that you are young and will not be able to draw the respect of the pack members. They also heard about your school fight and were really unhappy."

His hands ran through my hair, and he gave me a light smile. I blushed slightly and looked away. Of course, the council would have heard about my scuffle with those bitches. But they had it coming.

"Is there anything else that they said?"
