I was still furious at Jonas and as we drove in, he decided to take the liberty of explaining his pack in order to pacify my curiosity.

He explained that the rate of crime in Elvis Pine was due to the hostility between the three royal families. Because the families were at war, the wolf factions under them were constantly locked in rivalry.

It was because of this rivalry that the crime rate in Elvis Pine was so high, and it made the living conditions for anyone who lived there almost impossible.

“What about now? My source tells me that the crime rate has significantly dropped,” quipped André.

Jonas nodded, seemingly angry at André.

“Whoever the fuck you're source is,” he said bitterly. “Is correct. The three families signed a treaty of relative peace so that the wolf factions under their jurisdiction could at least have a sensible way of living. That doesn't still stop the constant and small scale conflicts that happen in this place.
