Chapter 206. A Noble Sacrifice

Olivia’s POV

I sat in the bedroom, staring out of the open window. Breakfast lay on the bed side table and there was only a little nibble of the waffle.

I had lost my appetite. I had begged André to let me attend the meeting with him but he said no and bribed me with kisses. My face flushed as I remembered it but it did nothing to calm my nerves.

My mind was going haywire. I didn’t think shifting the war to the next new moon was a great idea. Jonas was very resourceful. It was bad enough that we had to fight him and now, he wanted to go to war at a time where Jonas and his men would be at their strongest as well.

“Calm down, Olivia. Just breathe and calm down.”

As much as I repeated my mantra, it did nothing to calm me down. I hoped someone at the meeting could talk him out of it. Doran or Pierre, perhaps.
