My heart stopped beating, and I stared at him dumbfounded. He wanted to tell everyone about us already?

"André, I... I... I'm not ready. I don't think that I can do it. It's too soon, and so much has happened. You saw the way my mom reacted, and…

I couldn't help babbling. A few minutes ago, I was soliloquising about how I was ready to accept him as my mate, but now my feet had gotten cold, and I was backing away.

My rambling continued, but I soon felt a soft finger press against my lips, silencing me.

"Shhhhh, kitten. You're overthinking this."

I felt my eyes become moist, and I slowly removed André's fingers from my lips.

"André, I'm not ready..."

"Princess, you would never be ready if I left it to you. There is no better time than the present."

He stroked my cheek with his thumb, which slowly moved down to my lips. His touch was soft and reassuring, melting away my doubts.
